The Bachelor’s degree in Business Science responds to the need for a management program focusing on individuals as part of their context. The objective of this program is to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of the principal business components and their interactions, namely: management, leadership, human resources, capital, labor, production, managerial and adaptive capacity.

In response to the labor market needs and market research conducted by the University, we have based the Bachelor’s degree program in Business Science on the following curricular pillars:

  • Leadership: Develop leaders capable of guiding  organizations to produce tangible results. This is attained through a holistic approach to leadership which emphasizes that social and ethical attributes are just as important as professional and technical ones.
  • Management capacity: Exhibit personal skills that facilitate teamwork and communication, as well as the necessary technical competencies to take discerning, evidence-based  decisions.
  • Human talent: Create an environment that fosters creative intelligence and hence the ability to tackle and respond to specific problems, generate ideas how to solve them, look at the world without taking anything for granted, while recognizing our ability to shape our business context.
  • Analysis and relationship with the broader environment: Given that individuals are conditioned, influenced and guided by the society they live in, education must be context sensitive.

Areas of Study

Though economics and finance constitute the theoretical bases of business science, management and personal skills are needed to lead an organization or company effectively. Consequently, ULEAD has developed a curriculum that incorporates six disciplines:

  • Human development
