Benjamín Vargas
Costa Rican. He completed INCAE Business School’s MBA program with honors and a specialization in Finance and Economics. Benjamin is a law graduate from the University of Costa Rica and has a specialization in Notary Law from the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
He has completed exchange and executive education programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Benjamin served as advisor to Costa Rica’s Ministry of Foreign Trade on issues relating to legislative implementation of international agreements during the DR- CAFTA supplemental agreement approval process. He also advised the team responsible for defending Costa Rica’s interests in investor-State dispute settlement arbitrations brought before the World Bank’s International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
He has taken courses on multilateral trade agreement at the WTO Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation and represented Costa Rica at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan’s Global Youth Exchange Program and was the country’s rapporteur during the program’s closing symposium.
He is currently Communications and Sustainability Manager for the Cuestamoras multibusiness corporation, where he also held the position of Corporate Committee Project Coordinator.
