Silvia Hernández

Costa Rican. Silvia is an economics graduate and earned a Master’s in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She also obtained a Master’s in International Markets from the University of Salamanca, Spain.

She has attended executive education programs at prestigious international institutions including the Harvard Extension School, the World Bank Institute, KDI in South Korea, ILO, Georgetown University and ECLAC.

From 2012-2014, Silvia served as Vice-Minister of National Planning and Economic Policy and she has held positions in the public sector, worked with NGOs and research institutions. She has led innovation and competitiveness projects, provided assessment to decision makers, developed and implemented public policy and coordinated national systems of public investment evaluation.

A former member of several boards in public and regional entities, Silvia is an international consultant and current Development and Public Relations Director at Lead University.
