Costa Rican. A business administration graduate from the University of Costa Rica, Guillermo holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from INCAE (Nicaragua). He has also attended courses on finance at the University of Mannheim.

Guillermo is president of the Board of Directors of Auto Mercado S.A. and Inmobiliaria Santiagomillas S.A. He is the head of the Board of Directors for BAC San Jose. He was councilor and president of the Curridabat Municipal Council (1998-2002).

He has also sat on the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Development Association (ACORDE) serving as president and director (1992-2000). Guillermo served on Florida Ice & Farm’s Surveillance/Audit Committee (1991-2006) and was president of the company’s Board of Directors.
