Viviana Santamaría
Costa Rican. An economics graduate from the University of Costa Rica, Viviana is an international trade consultant and founding partner of CATRADE Consulting Group.
With more than 14 years’ experience in international trade and economic integration, she is the former Director of the Monitoring, Trade and Investment Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Trade (2000-2005). She also served as FTA trade negotiator (DR-CAFTA, CCRFTA and Costa Rica-CARICOM).
Viviana was an external consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Inter-American Development Bank and INCAE Business School.
She has been a speaker at many conferences, workshops, seminars and national and international debates. She has also authored publications on international trade and is the founder of the Bachelor’s degree program in International Trade at the National University of Costa Rica, where she is also a faculty member.
